With features such as turning commonly sent signature forms into reusable templates and Sign APIs, Dropbox Sign helps its SMB customers to streamline their workflows as needed.
Breadth of work:
Conducted in-depth competitive analysis, initiated north star think-its for future phases, co-led with product in defining product strategy, and led designs for final product.
Goal:
Increase trial starts and improve retention by launching a template gallery available for all users.
Experience objectives:
- High discoverability to encourage exploration and adoption of the template gallery
- Audit and establish consistent prep & send workflows
- Establish product competitiveness by defining design north star and milestones informed by in-depth competitive analysis and audits
Design impact:
- Knowledge sharing of competitors and the analysis inspired design team working on relevant business problems
- Product partners were informed by new competitors to consider and the analysis influenced the product strategy (reconsidering the nav, template quotas, etc)
- North star explorations sparked a new design driven initiative within Dropbox standalone products
