SaaS Application
Yieldmo, Engagement Management Platform
As the Lead Designer at Yieldmo, I helped shape our first SaaS product with scalable design solutions to unique technical and usability challenges. We’re currently in private beta, iterating before public launch.
Challenge:
To build a self-service Engagement Management Platform (EMP) to support the marketer’s full campaign cycle while educating users of the value proposition of our high impact creatives and unique 1st party data set based on exposure and engagement, and how they can be used to increase campaign effectiveness.
Process:
User interviews and usability tests were conducted with the Sales team and clients to gather direct feedback on early design concepts based on user stories and objectives. The feedback loop with users helped identify key pain points in the early prototypes, which were then framed into design challenges (How Might We’s) to help with ideation and improve design affordances.
Working closely with engineers was important in understanding the flexibility of the CUBA platform (a Java RAD framework used for the application) as we finalized the wireframes and visual language. Readability of data tables, accessibility of data visualizations for various types of datasets, and a hierarchy of button types to help discern between priority of actions were key components in defining a visual language for a data-heavy application.
